The Caffeinated Researcher Gift Guide

PhD Gift Guide: Caffeinated Researcher Edition

Gifts for PhD students who are powered by coffee

Some PhD students view it as their morning ritual. Others drink it for the caffeine kick to help them stay focused and alert. And there are some who need a hot cup to help them get through their day. Whatever drives you to reach for a cup of joe, there is a special relationship between coffee and PhD students that has existed for centuries.

So, you want to find a gift for a PhD student who is in the caffeinated researcher club? I’ll give you some ideas that I know they are going to love!

Well, let’s start with the obvious: coffee! If the student has a coffee machine, coffee pods are always a welcome gift. Nespresso is a common brand – but make sure you know which machine they have before buying them pods, as they might not be compatible.

If not actual coffee, how about a place to store it? We have one of these coffee pod drawers and we absolutely love it! It keeps all the coffee organised and it saves a lot of space as well. The exact one I have is not available anymore, but this one looks just as good – much like the coffee, though, make sure it fits the right pods!

If you don’t want to risk it, how about some coffee on the go? I love chocolate-covered coffee beans for a quick hit of caffeine. So convenient, plus it’s easier to take to the library than an actual cup of coffee. These are great ones!

We also have many designs created for researchers who love coffee. Take a look at some of our favorites right here:
